The Association of Veteran Basketball Athletes of Larissa was founded in January 2019 by a group of veteran and veteran basketball athletes, some of whom honored Larissa basketball at the highest level while others made their mark by competing in local categories and amateur leagues. The purpose of the club is included in the preamble of its statutes which states the following: "the general development and promotion of the sport in accordance with the principles of the spirit of sportsmanship, the moral, communicative and by any other suitable, legitimate and irreproachable means support of the Greek Basketball and the National Team of Greece and the spread of the sports idea in a climate of cultural and spiritual elevation of its members".

Based on these principles, SPAK Larisa is moving forward with a steady step, looking to the future with optimism. He participated in two Panhellenic Veteran Championships in Chios in 2019 and in Heraklion in 2022 and decided to organize the 9th Panhellenic Championship in Larissa from 26 to 28 May 2023. He organized a Christmas tournament of veterans on 28/12/2019 with the participation of his teams as well as the corresponding teams of Thessaloniki and Volos, offering the proceeds of the matches for the purchase of sheets that were allocated to the Larissa General Hospital. He participated in a friendly match in Volos with the Volos veterans in April (10/4) 2022 with the aim of collecting medical supplies for Ukraine. It has a volunteer group of blood donors who periodically donate blood for the needs of the local community. He maintains training hours for the weekly exercise of his members and his team participates in the championship of employees of the Municipality of Larissa.
